Emergency numbers in Morocco

If there is immediate danger, choose the number that fits the place and situation. These are general emergency numbers, not a mental-health listening line.

If you or someone near you is not safe, do not stay alone. Call the right number, give the location clearly, and stay with the person until help arrives if you can do so safely.

15

Civil Protection and fire service

For fires, accidents and urgent rescue.

141

Allo SAMU

For medical emergencies in areas where the service is active: describe the situation and location, then follow the operator's instructions.

19

Police in cities

For danger, assault or an urgent intervention in a city.

177

Royal Gendarmerie

For emergencies outside cities, on roads and in rural areas.

5050

Motorway assistance

For a breakdown or accident on a motorway, call Autoroutes du Maroc's assistance centre.

If someone may harm themselves

If someone talks about harming themselves, try not to leave them alone, move medicines or dangerous objects away if you can do so safely, and call 141 for a medical emergency or 15 for Civil Protection, or go to the nearest emergency department. This page does not replace medical intervention and is not a national mental-health listening line.

What should you say on the call?

  • The city, neighbourhood and address or a nearby landmark
  • What happened and whether there is danger now
  • How many people need help
  • Keep the line open and do not hang up before the operator does
